Good to know
Questions bookers ask.
What does a typical concert look like?
Ninety minutes to two and a half hours. Solo means Sanjay with harmonium plus tabla; the duo adds Sanjyot Banubakode compering and singing; the full ensemble adds guitar, keys and percussion. Sets are built for the room — from a strict ghazal mehfil to an evening that moves through sufi, bhajan and Bollywood retro.
Where do you perform?
Anywhere in India, and internationally by arrangement. Based in Nashik, three hours from Mumbai and Pune.
What do we need to provide?
A stage or clear floor space with white sheets and bolsters for the classic mehfil seating, sound (a rider is available on request), and travel and stay for the ensemble when the event is outside Nashik.
Can you sing specific songs or in Marathi?
Yes. Requests in Hindi, Urdu, Marathi and Punjabi are welcome, including specific ghazals, aartis and bhajans for the occasion.
How far ahead should we book?
Weekends in the October–February season fill early; four to eight weeks is comfortable. Short-notice dates are sometimes possible — ask.
